The class focuses on a series of exercises each week to stretch and tone all the major muscle groups of the body. Combining strengthening with stretching will help to tone and shape up the muscles, as well as improving your flexibilty and range as a dancer. This is an energetic and fun class which uses popular music to keep you going.

5:45 - 6:15pm

Could you be the next Fred Astaire of Ginger Rogers?

This exciting dance form develops balance and coordination, is a fantastic way to keep fit and healthy and promotes musical and rhythmical awareness whilst being a creative dance form.

You do not need any previous tap dance experience to join this class.

Street Dance

6:15 - 6:45pm

Street dance was a term originally used to describe dance that developed outside of the studio setting in social places like streets, clubs and parks.

At TACT, we keep our street dance inside the studio, but the energy and passion is just the same.

TACT Choir

6:45 - 7:30pm

Our TACT choir is open to young singers in Year 3 to Year 9. Singing music from across the full range of musical genres, this ensemble encourages good singing technique and the development of part singing and confidence with harmony work.

Choirs are an essential part of our communities and singing in a choir promotes collaborative learning and is a fantastic way to make new friends who also love to sing.

9:00 - 9:45pm

An introduction to the basics of classical ballet, the concepts of core stability, turn-out, flexibility, posture and placement. The students will learn basic co-ordination and alignment needed for the centre work at the end of each class.

Jazz Dance

9:45 - 10:30am

This is a fun, routine based class which allows students to develop their dance confidence whilst learning the styles and techniques of jazz dance.

We use popular and musical theatre music to inspire young dancers to perform to the best of their ability.

Weekly exercises aim to improve both flexibility and core strength. Each class also contains corner work which allows the teacher to give individual feedback to students on the development of their kicks and leaps.

10:30 - 11:15am

This fun-filled class explores drama through theatre games, improvisation, devised drama and scripted work.

Each week students find new ways to approach characterisation and story telling whilst developing their confidence as an actor.

11:15 - 12:00am

This fast-paced and high-energy musical theatre singing class runs every Saturday as part of our Junior Stage School. Students learn singing technique alongside developing their confidence as a singer and musical theatre performer.

Students explore songs from across the musical theatre repertoire leading to an informal showcase of their work to parents at the end of each term.
