Welcome to The Arts Centre Telford (you’ll probably call it TACT from now on). Whether you are joining us for acting, singing, dance, instrumental or a show it’s great to have you as part of the team.
We have a long history of helping nurture performers of all ability levels and we are proud of each and every student that comes through our door. Whether it be outstanding results, entry to professional stage schools, west end debuts or the first time you’ve performed we will help support you to achieve your goals. Some Important Digital “Paperwork”
Before we can get on to the exciting part, we ask you spend 5 minutes completing this paperwork. This is part of what makes TACT run so well, we like to keep up to date information for both safety purposes and keeping you informed about what’s going on. Once it’s done - please do keep us informed of any changes using the appropriate contact section of our web page. All Information is held securely and used only by TACT.

TACT Uniform
At TACT we wear theatre blacks. This is usually loose fitting clothing such as joggers and a black T-shirt. Some people might also wear a black hoodie or jumper. Dancers sometimes choose to wear a leotard with a black T-Shirt over the top. To private lessons some students wear black jeans a a top. Please wear footwear that is suitable to move in. We do have TACT Uniform available that can be ordered below.
Paying for Private Lessons, Classes and Shows
Classes
All classes are payable monthly in advance. S o if your class falls on a Monday and there are 4 Mondays in February, then you will pay for 4 at the start of the month. If you are running late, or haven’t had chance to use the online system - don’t panic! You can pay on your phone when you arrive. Using the online system is quicker and enables a smoother beginning to the class. If you have missed the sign up date. Just contact us and we can help.
Trial classes are payable for the lessons attended only for that week.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are invoiced for after they are completed each month. So if you had 3 lessons in the month you will receive an invoice for those lessons in the first week of the following month. Please note that private lessons are a weekly term time commitment and three weeks notice must be given to cancel any lessons. We love to rearrange lessons rather than cancel where possible, so do please contact us.
Shows
Shows fees change depending on the given project. This is due to the changing nature and costs associated with each show. The shows have a payment plan associated with them which has something to suit everyone. The information for this can be found below.
VAT on Prices is Inclusive
All prices listed on the website include VAT. So what you see is what you pay.

You have to be a certain type of person to work at TACT. We are incredibly proud of our team. Please feel free to have a look at our team page so you know who we are before you arrive.
What to Expect
TACT is fiercely proud of our work and we will work hard with you to achieve progress. You may have some contact from your private teaches with what to prepare for your first lesson, but most teachers will deal with this in the first lesson.
How to Find Us and Waiting for a Lesson
Our address is The Arts Centre Telford, Holyhead Road, Ketley, Telford, TF1 5AN. We are next door to Ketley Community Centre. There is a public car park at the side of the building. Once you are parked come through the gate. Then move to the left hand side of the building, the front door is located around this side of the building.
Once you are in, we usually have someone on the front desk to greet you. But not always. Please take a seat in the waiting area and the tutor will be with you shortly. Sometimes lessons run over, but if you are waiting for longer than ten minutes please do pop your head into room one and just let someone know you are waiting. Any of our team members will be happy to help.
