Ballet

Monday
6:30 - 7:15pm

For all performers and dancers, ballet is the most important class that we offer, hence our decision to offer two ballet classes per week. We recommend that all students take both classes.

This mixed ability class offers dance the concepts of ballet, including core stability, posture, flexibility, turn-out and placement and well as developing the strength and technique should students wish to advance further. Students also learn and perform short ballet routines to develop strength and performance confidence.


Limbering

Monday
7:15 - 8pm

This class is for performers who wishes to improve their strength and overall flexibilty. The class focuses on a series of exercises each week to stretch and tone all the major muscle groups of the body. Combining strengthening with stretching will help to tone and shape up the muscles, as well as improving your flexibilty and range as a dancer. This is an energetic and fun class which uses popular music to keep you going.


This high energy class teaches routines to a range of music including latest chart hits and musical theatre. This class is an introduction to the styles and techniques of jazz dance. Weekly exercises aim to both flexibility and core strength. Each class also contains corner work which allows the teacher to give individual feedback to students on the development of their kicks and leaps. 

Jazz

MT Dance
Routine

8:45 - 9:30pm

Taking a different musical theatre piece each week, develop your ability to pick up a routine in a new style quickly. This class is excellent preparation for auditions as the teacher will guide you through new steps in a fast-paced class and then give feedback on movement memory as well as specific technique issues and areas for development.


Ballet

Tap

Tuesday
7:15 - 8pm

This exciting dance form develops balance and coordination, is a fantastic way to keep fit and healthy and promotes musical and rhythmical awareness whilst being a creative dance form.

Many musical shows require performers to be able to tap and many professional stage schools require at least basic tap from students.

You do not need any previous tap dance experience to join this class. 


Lyrical

Tuesday
8 - 8:45pm

In this class, jumping, travelling and floor work are combined with exercises to develop strength, flexibility and coordination. 

At TACT, we explore the contemporary techniques through the lyrical style to develop fluidity of movement to bridge the concepts learned with the performance element. 


Street Dance

Tuesday
8:45 - 9:30pm

Learn fast and funky routines to the latest chart hits in this energetic class combining street dance, hip hop and commercial dance styles. 

This class covers a variety of styles each week from popping, locking, house, hip hop and 'waacking'.

This is an extremely popular class so be sure to book up quickly.
