Beginner

Reception to year 2

Drama, Singing, Ballet and Jazz

Beginner Drama: Children will develop their skills and confidence by performing in a range of group drama pieces. They will also be encouraged to use their imagination when creating their own drama. 

Beginner Singing: Children explore a range of songs, mainly focussing on the musical theatre genre. Children will develop their confidence singing as part of a group and experiencing solo singing if they wish.

Beginner Ballet: This class combines formality with friendliness and the discipline of ballet is introduced alongside a wider enjoyment of dance and music. 

Beginner Jazz: This is a fun, routine based class which allows students to develop their dance confidence whilst learning the styles and techniques of jazz dance. We use popular and musical theatre music to inspire young dancers to perform to the best of their ability.

 

Junior

Year 3 to year 7

Ballet, Jazz, Tap, MT Routine, Drama, Singing and Choir

DANCE

Junior Ballet: This mixed ability class offers dance the concepts of ballet, including core stability, posture, flexibility, turn-out and placement and well as developing the strength and technique should students wish to advance further. Students also learn and perform short ballet routines to develop strength and performance confidence.

Junior Jazz: This is a fun, routine based class which allows students to develop their dance confidence whilst learning the styles and techniques of jazz dance. We use popular and musical theatre music to inspire young dancers to perform to the best of their ability. Weekly exercises aim to improve both flexibility and core strength. Each class also contains corner work which allows the teacher to give individual feedback to students on the development of their kicks and leaps. 

Junior Tap: Enjoy an introduction to one of the most universally loved dance styles of all time. Develop your rhythm and skill with our specialist tap teacher.

MT Routine: Taking a different musical theatre piece each week, develop your ability to pick up a routine in a new style quickly. This class is excellent for developing a young dancer’s musicality and movement memory whilst enjoying a wide range of musical theatre dance repertoire.

Drama

Junior Drama: This fun-filled class explores drama through theatre games, improvisation, devised drama and scripted work. We prepare our students not just to be actors, but playwrights, directors and the future of creativity. Each week students find new ways to approach characterisation and story telling whilst developing their confidence as an actor. 

Singing

Junior Singing: This fast-paced and high-energy musical theatre singing class runs every Saturday. Students learn singing technique alongside developing their confidence as a singer and musical theatre performer. Students explore songs from across the musical theatre repertoire.

TACT Choir: Our TACT choir is open to young singers in Year 4 to Year 9. Singing music from across the full range of musical genres, this ensemble encourages good singing technique and the development of part singing and confidence with harmony work. Choirs are an essential part of our communities and singing in a choir promotes collaborative learning and is a fantastic way to make new friends who also love to sing. 

 

Senior

Year 8+

Ballet, Jazz, Tap, MT Routine, Tap, Drama, Singing and Choir

DANCE

Senior Ballet: This mixed ability class offers dance the concepts of ballet, including core stability, posture, flexibility, turn-out and placement and well as developing the strength and technique should students wish to advance further. Students also learn and perform short ballet routines to develop strength and performance confidence.

Senior Jazz: This high energy class teaches routines to a range of music including latest chart hits and musical theatre. This class is an introduction to the styles and techniques of jazz dance. Weekly exercises aim to both flexibility and core strength. Each class also contains corner work which allows the teacher to give individual feedback to students on the development of their kicks and leaps. 

Senior Tap: Enjoy an introduction to one of the most universally loved dance styles of all time. Develop your rhythm and skill with our specialist tap teacher.

Senior MT Routine: Taking a different musical theatre piece each week, develop your ability to pick up a routine in a new style quickly. This class is excellent preparation for auditions as the teacher will guide you through new steps in a fast-paced class and then give feedback on movement memory as well as specific technique issues and areas for development.

DRAMA

Senior Drama: For a well rounded performer drama is an essential pursuit. It is the art form that contemporary theatre is delivered from. The session aims to develop performers who are individual. Students are encouraged to think about their work. It also allows good communication skills to develop and confidence to grow.

SINGING

Senior Singing: This fast-paced and high-energy musical theatre singing class runs every Saturday. Students learn singing technique alongside developing their confidence as a singer and musical theatre performer. Students explore songs from across the musical theatre repertoire.

TACT Choir: Our TACT choir is open to young singers in Year 4 to Year 11. “Voices In Partnership” Choir: Adult choir specialising in musical theatre and choral music. Getting together once a week to work on repertoire towards performance.
